Dye at MOSI.

After a morning in the dye lab, an afternoon trip to MOSI, found me looking more into dye. Interesting information about the relevance of dye to Manchester. After the progression into chemical dyes, Manchester became a big dye production centre.

I like the fact that my interest in using dye has now brought my project back round to linking into Manchester. Thoughts about identity of the work. Marks that are created and left behind…but by who? Like the thought that the dye could have a relevance to this place, making the marks relevant to this place. Traces of history. 

If some of you haven't been yet, definitely pay a trip, there's all sorts down there. Not just Textile related either...which could be of use. Especially for Unit X.
